Extraction logic allows you to display the selected options of multi-select question types as answer options of the follow-up question.
For example, consider that the source question asks "Which is your favorite smartphone brand?" with following answer options:
If the respondent selects any of the answer options then, a follow-up question should appear asking to rate the selected smartphone brand.
To set up extraction:
The extracted question will appear below the source question. You can change the question text as per your need.
In the above image, when the respondent selects Samsung as his/her favorite smartphone brand a new question asking "why do you like Samsung?" with an open-ended single line text box appear on the next page. The respondent can enter text to specify the reason for choosing the answer option.
Yes. It is possible to re-order the extracted question to anywhere in the survey after the source question (the question from which you extract). However, once you re-order the extracted question you will need to set up branching logic on the source question to go to the appropriate question. Yes, matrix extraction is also available. You would have to select the options that you want to include in the extraction
