Survey authentication using email invites only

The system makes sure that the survey can be taken only if the invitation is sent to the respondent’s email address via SurveyAnalytics. If any other way of distribution is used the survey will not be accessible.

How do I enable authentication using email invites only?

To set up authentication using email invites only:

  • Go to: Login » Surveys (select a survey) » Edit » Settings.
  • Under settings, you will see three tabs - settings, security, and notifications on the left side of the screen.
  • Click on security. Here, you will see a list of options under survey authentication.

  • Select email invites only option.
  • Click on save changes.

Note: Survey respondent tracking and Anti-Ballot Box Stuffing will work with this authentication type.
How does authentication using email invites work?

Consider, that you have enabled 'authentication using email invites only' in your survey. Now, if you share the survey URL through any other way such as instant messaging apps (Skype, Slack, etc.) and the respondent clicks on the URL then, following message will be displayed: Survey Software Help Image
